eHealth in development: Policy meets Practice

In connection with the Tromsø Telemedicine and eHealth Conference 2006 (TTeC), a joint Norad-NST workshop on policy and practice of eHealth in development and aid was organized on 15 June.

The workshop focused on the needs for eHealth and eLearning in the developing world. The 19 participants concluded that the event was a useful start for developing a joint platform for collaboration and sharing information. It was expressed a need for a follow-up workshop focusing on the policy and financing in this area.
