Automatic transfer of blood glucose data to health professionals	2004	The Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine is participating in the project "Wireless Health and Care". The objective of the project is to develop solutions for and demonstrate applications of wireless data transmission and wireless networks in the public health service.
CORAS - A platform for risk analysis of security critical systems	2000	Accurate, unambiguous and effective risk analyses.
Cardiac Sound	2000	Registering of cardiac sound with children with heart murmurs. The cardiac sound is sent electronically from the GP to the specialist for assessment.
Collocated Personal Diabetes Data (CPDD)	2009	A research project addressing ways of improving the health of people with diabetes by providing patients and health care personnel information based on collocated data from personal sensors and other relevant data. If we manage to design the CPDD system in a way that is user-friendly, and that provides patients and their health care helpers with useful information regarding diabetes health factors, this may constitute a concrete contribution to Helse Nord’s aim of giving patients the best possible foundation for their treatment.
Common medication list	2004	Errors in medication are a widespread problem in Norway. A computer-based tool for information exchange and an adjustment of routines could minimize the problem.
Competitive Health Services in Sparsely Populated Areas - eHealth Applications across the Urban-Rural Dimension	2008	The aim of this project is to enhance the provision and accessibility of health services in the sparsely populated areas of Europe.
Context-sensitive systems for mobile communication in hospitals	2007	The current generation of communication technology in hospitals has several drawbacks. Wireless phones for example create a risk that individual physicians will become overloaded with unnecessary interruptions.
DORIS module for screening of diabetes-induced retinopathy	2002	The objective of this subproject in the OFU collaboration was to create a high-quality, practical telemedicine solution for fundus photography with regard to operation and widespread use in the health network.
Data Security	2001	The project was aimed at increasing the knowledge of data security issues.
Detection and prediction of spreads of disease outbreak based on syndromic data	2007	Early Warning Systems (EWS) are used to alert health-care providers and authorities about emerging health problems.
Detection of malignant melanoma based on lesion images	2007	Computer-aided diagnostics (CAD) systems are already widely used in practical clinical situations for tasks such as the detection of breast and lung cancer and melanoma.
DiPato - Distributed Electronic Patient Record	2000	The DiPato project aims at integrating electronic patient record (EPR) data through the national computer network for health institutions ("Helsenett").
Distance Learning	1997	A collaboration in distance learning between Norway and Russia. A part of the project "Telemedicine in Northwest Russia".
Eczema counselling via the internet - a randomized controlled trial	2005	The project will survey if internet based counselling directly home to the parents of children with atopic eczema leads to improvement of the children's health, and if the parents feel increased management of their children's disease.
Elvira - Net based patient information system	2000	Preconditions for connecting medical journal systems at hospitals, casualty departments, GP's offices and home care services. What are the potential benefits?
Establishment of network in telepsychiatry shaped towards patients	2003	The aim of the project is to develop and implement a model for use of telemedicine to improve the cooperation between the different levels of the public health service by use of Video Conference (VC).

ICT based development of competence in the municipalities	2001	Since the second half of 2001, the Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine (NST) has invested resources in developing competence through the use of ICT for municipal staff involved in nursing and care.
ICU⁴ - Intelligent Communication Uniforms for health care workers	2005	As nurses have more specialized tasks and responsibilities, new devices need to be developed that give the health care worker immediate access to detailed and sometimes complicated information at the workplace and when in action.
Interaction through a web-based patient record in wound treatment ‘Ulcer interaction’	2010	The project investigates how much and how health care professionals use new opportunities for interaction, opened by access to a wound (ulcer) patient record and how documentation is shared, with the purpose of optimizing the level of treatment and care.

MedIMob - Instant Messaging and Presence in Healthcare	2005	The objective of this project is to study and evaluate use and usability of the collaborative technologies known as Instant Messaging and Presence (IM/P) within selected healthcare environments.
Mobile Telemedicine Units	2002	NST has in collaboration with the North-Norwegian companies Natech AS and Imed looked into development and production of one or several mobile telemedicine units.

MyHealthService - personal healthcare technology and services for elderly chronically ill	2007	In the project MyHealthStation in 2005, NST, Well, UNN and Norut designed and developed a prototype of a system for home based training, self-management and following-up of patients/chronically ill over broadband networks.
Net based medication record	2007	Information about chronic patients' medication is stored in different information sources in different organizations (hospitals, general practitioners, emergency units, nursing homes and in people's homes). As many chronic patients are in regular contacts with all these organizations, it is difficult to have a clear picture of which medications the patient is using.
OrtoPol@r	2003	University-run distance education in orthodontics at the Dental Competence Centre in North Norway (Tannhelsetjenstens kompetansesenter for Nord-Norge, i Tromsø).
PKI in Health Care Networks	2001	Pilot study (2001) which described requirements and recommendations for the application of PKI (Public Key Infrastructure in the health care network.

R-Bay	2007	The vision of R-Bay is to extend traditional eRadiology by creating an eMarketplace, a many-to-many connection, which will function as a commodity brokering and exchange of radiology services.
Regional Telemedicine Forum (RTF)	2010	The forum is a european meeting ground for clinicians and decision makers in the health services. In the forum they can discuss effective methods for implementing telemedicine in clinical practice. The primary focus will be the chronic diseases COPD, diabetes and cardio-vascular disease.

Sociology doctoral project.
Strålt - Telemedicine in radiotherapy	2002	Decentralised radiotherapy and advanced treatment planning systems have introduced a new area in radiotherapy. In the project STRÅLT the possibilities in remote dose planning and supervision were investigated.
Survey of the need for new telemedicine solutions for use at home by patients with kidney failure	2008	The objective of the project is to survey the needs of patients who receive home-based dialysis, and to result in the development of new solutions and services that could help to enable more patients to receive home-based dialysis.
Sv@lTooth	2002	A teleodontological service is tested between the GPD at Longyearbyen Hospital on Svalbard and the ambulating orthodontist in Bergen at the west coast of Norway.
TELemedicine ANYwhere (TelAny)	2001	Satellite-supported emergency medicine. This project aims to demonstrate medical treatment of patients onboard ships in case of emergency medical situations.
Teledialysis	2000	Establish, implement and evaluate telemedicine solutions for testing and following up dialysis patients.
The Constellation for AIDS competence: Global learning for local impact	2007	The project Global Learning for Local Impact is a joint collaboration between the Constellation for AIDS Competence (Constellation) and the Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine (NST).

Translation and adaptation of the DORIS multi-media system	1999	Developing a Russian version of the DORIS multimedia medical referral system and adapting it to local conditions in Northwest Russia was one part of the project "Telemedicine in Northwest Russia".
Use of mobile SMS in the follow-up care for double diagnosed patients	2003	The study explores the role of ICT (mobile SMS and e-mail) in the follow-up care of eight clients with a double-diagnosis (simultaneously drug abuse and psychiatric diagnosis). The clients could send mobile SMS or e-mails to their contact persons at the section over a 4-month period.
User-interaction in patient terminals	2007	As mobile phones and computers have become more common there is increasing interest in using these devices for providing health related services.
What is the science in telemedicine?	2004	The aim of the study is to review telemedicine and eHealth research literature to analyze and critique disciplinary, theoretical and methodological approaches. The review was a follow-up of a WHO-initiated workshop in September 2003, focusing on methods for evaluating telemedicine.
