2009 The goal of IS_ACTIVE is to devise a person-centric healthcare solution for patients with chronic conditions.

Mayflower - Web cource via satellite

2002 The Mayflower project aims at immediately promoting on the market interactive telecommunications applications based on existing platforms, to enable the delivery of university courses in Medicine and, as a successful system, in other academical fields.

MethoTelemed

MyHealth@Age - Improved Health, Safety and Well being for Elderly People living in Northern Periphery regions

2008 Many elderly people feel unsafe outside their homes. This limits their social contacts and physical activities. MyHealth@Age aims to provide products and services to make it possible for elderly people to feel safer and live a more active and healthy life.

Nordic Telemedicine Network

2000 Networking project aiming to provide an overview of telemedicine activity in the Nordic countries.

PERSONA: perceptive spaces promoting independent aging

2007 The European FP-6 project PERSONA aims at the development of sustainable and affordable solutions for the social inclusion and independent living of Senior Citizen through harmonisation of Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) technologies and concepts.

Palestine Telemedicine Rehabilitation Network

2006 This project will aim to establish the first National Telemedicine Rehabilitation Network in Palestine. The network will link the four national rehabilitation centers in Palestine to each other and to relevant rehabilitation centers abroad.

R-Bay

2007 The vision of R-Bay is to extend traditional eRadiology by creating an eMarketplace, a “many-to-many” connection, which will function as a commodity brokering and exchange of radiology services.

2009 Integrated and modular system for remote health and social care to support independent living of elderly with chronic conditions living in rural and isolated areas.

Regional Telemedicine Forum (RTF)

2010 The forum is a european meeting ground for clinicians and decision makers in the health services. In the forum they can discuss effective methods for implementing telemedicine in clinical practice. The primary focus will be the chronic diseases COPD, diabetes and cardio-vascular disease.

Romanian Pilot Centre for Telemedicine

2008 The development of telemedical services is in its early stage in Romania, but there is a pressing need for alternative and innovative solutions in the health sector. This feasibility study will show what services should be chosen and a consolidation of the project team for a Romanian Pilot centre for Telemedicine.

TELemedicine ANYwhere (TelAny)

2001 Satellite-supported emergency medicine. This project aims to demonstrate medical treatment of patients onboard ships in case of emergency medical situations.

TeleRemCare

2002 TeleRemCare, Implementation and evaluation of telemedicine in remote health care, was a joint project between the northern regions of Scotland, Finland, Sweden and Norway. The aim of the project was to exchange and disseminate experiences with telemedicine in sparsley populated areas.

Telemedicine in Afghanistan

2003 The Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine wants to investigate whether it is feasible to use telemedicine in the education of female health personnel in Afghanistan.

Telemedicine in Northwest Russia

1997 The overall aim of the project was to develop and strengthen telemedicine collaboration between Arkhangelsk Oblast and Northern Norway.

The Constellation for AIDS competence: Global learning for local impact

2007 The project ‘Global Learning for Local Impact’ is a joint collaboration between the Constellation for AIDS Competence (‘Constellation’) and the Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine (NST).

WHO/European survey on eHealth consumer trends

2005 The NST/ WHO collaborating centre for Telemedicine is co-ordinating an international survey on eHealth consumer trends. Key issues of the study are: Social gap related to the digital divide, public health, trust and monitoring.

What is the science in telemedicine?

2004 The aim of the study is to review telemedicine and eHealth research literature to analyze and critique disciplinary, theoretical and methodological approaches. The review was a follow-up of a WHO-initiated workshop in September 2003, focusing on methods for evaluating telemedicine.

eHealth in the Northernmost Regions of Europe

2002 The aim of the study is to find and define a common development topic in home care/ rehabilitation in the North Calotte region.
