New manager for the eHealth consumer program
Ernst Kloosterman has been appointed as interim manager of the eHealth consumer program, as from August 1st. He presently works at NST as application coordinator and consultant regarding European programs. Earlier he was manager for the Globus program at NST.
Ernst Kloosterman has been working at the Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine
in Tromsø since 2002. He will at first work in a temporary position as manager
for the eHealth consumer program at NST. The present manager of the program,
Deede Gammon, starts in a research position with a PhD-degree as the longer term
objective.
About 25 employees are working at the eHealth consumer
program. The program aims to empower people in their efforts to cope with health
issues and to contribute to better knowledge about the needs, attitudes and
behaviours of people who use ICT for their own health purposes .The main target
groups are the public and patients, patient organisations, service providers and
health authorities.
