Bellika, Johan Gustav

Johan Gustav Bellika, NST.Bellika is associate professor at the Computer Science Department, Faculty of Science at University of Tromsø. He is member of the medical informatics and telemedicine group and involved in several projects within the Tromsø Telemedicine Laboratory.

Ekeland, Anne Granstrøm

Anne Gerd EkelandEkeland has a PhD in sociology and her main research interests are conditions and driving forces for change and ordering. The main focus is on how intentions to improve health and social services by use of ICT’s are comprehended, promoted or hampered in different practices, and the ways in which improvements are constructed through interaction between different actors.

Gram, Inger Torhild

Inger Torhild GramInger Torhild Gram has been a senior consultant (20% ) at NST since 2006. Gram is a Professor in Preventive Medicine, Institute of Community Medicine, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tromsø, in her main position.

Hartvigsen, Gunnar

Gunnar HartvigsenProfessor Gunnar Hartvigsen is since 1994 Professor at the University of Tromsø, Department of Computer Science, Medical Informatics and Telemedicine group. Dr. Hartvigsen is since 2000 Adjunct Professor at the Norwegian Centre of Telemedicine, University Hospital of North Norway.

Researcher: Eirik Årsand

Eirik ÅrsandÅrsand does research within Medical Informatics, using technology to help people with diabetes. He did his PhD on mobile self-help tools for patients with Type 2 diabetes, which is also his current research focus at the Norwegian Centre for Integrated Care and Telemedicine.

Researcher: Jan-Are Kolset Johnsen

Jan-Are Kolset JohnsenDr Johnsen is working to understand how social psychological and social cognition processes influence patients’ and health-professionals’ use of ICT for health communication.

Researcher: Silje Camilla Wangberg (On leave until January 2011)

Silje Camilla Wangberg, NSTDr Wangberg is a psychologist who since 2004 has been researching how information and communication technology best can be exploited to promote health with a particular focus on tailoring to social cognitive variables in health behaviour change programs online, social support, and social disparities in access and use of the Internet for health purposes.

Researcher: Stein Olav Skrøvseth

Stein Olav SkrøvsethSkrøvseth recieved his Master's degree and PhD in theoretical physics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim. His PhD was awarded in 2006, and was on quantum entanglement and efficient mathematical and numerical descriptions of this and related concepts. In 2007-2008 he continued as a postdoctoral fellow jointly between University of Sydney and NTNU. In 2009 Skrøvseth started working as mathematical researcher at NST.

Scholl, Jeremiah

I received a Ph.D. from the Computer Science and Electrical Engineering department at Luleå University of Technology in Oct. 2005. My current research topics are pervasive communication devices for clinicians and the integration of live video from mobile phones into medical emergency call centers.

Tjora, Aksel

Aksel Tjora, NSTTjora is Professor in Sociology at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and has an adjunct position at NST. He is working with studies of technology in use, mainly by applying detailed ethnographically based studies on cases such as telemedicine, eHealth, and electronic patient records.
